Doctrinal Statement
We thought it might be nice for you to be able to see what the authors of this website believe doctrinally...
What Do I Believe?
1. I believe that the King James Bible is the preserved and doctrinally inerrant Word of God in the English language2. I believe that the Jesus Christ of the Bible is the virgin born Son of God3. I believe that Jesus lived a sinless life4. That He was falsely accused5. That He died on the cross, was buried in a borrowed tomb and rose from the dead on the morning of the 3rd day6. I believe that salvation is a free gift paid for by Jesus’ shed blood and that the only means of eternal life is accepting it7. I believe that once you accept the free gift of salvation the old you died just as Christ died on the cross and that you are “born again” a new creature and that since the old man is dead you can never return to him…meaning that eternal life is actually eternal8. I believe in baptism by immersion after salvation as a symbol of Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection9. I believe that because of accepting God’s gift of eternal life I am now His child and that as such, I am now in a special relationship with Him that provides me with certain benefits such as a father when I need one, a friend when I need one and a comforter when I need one…that He is my provider, my protector and my guide10. I believe that I can never be more loved than I am and that I can never be less loved than I am11. I believe Him when He tells me in His Word that He will never leave me nor forsake me for any reason12. That I have 100% of the Holy Spirit since the moment of my salvation and do not need more or less of Him13. That I do not need to draw close to Him as He is already right there beside me inside my body with me…I am already as close to Him as I can be14. That God can and will answer my prayers because of our relationship15. I believe the Bible tells us to pray for specific things…wisdom, physical healing for those with illness or injury, our spouses and our children, those in authority, peace in Jerusalem and Israel, more workers for Christ’s harvest and for our enemies16. I believe that the Bible tells us before we pray to be full of gratitude and praise to the One we are praying to17. I believe that God can and will use me for His glory18. I do not blame God when bad things happen or view it as His judgment, I am not likely to be able to know what God is doing all the time or in every situation…I have found that the worst situations in my life have worked out to be the very best things to ever happen to me19. I believe that Jesus Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father currently, but that He will return to Earth soon to set up His earthly kingdom20. I believe that while I wait for His return I have the Holy Spirit living in my body with me and that I have His power to help me serve God…that power includes all of the miracles that Jesus and the apostles were able to do and more21. I believe that my body is His temple and as such I should treat it with the reverence and respect that it deserves…feed it properly, maintain it properly, do not be ashamed of it as it was formed by Him before I was born and is made in His image22. I believe I should avoid alcohol due to my position with Christ as a Priest/King of His who will rule and reign with Him23. I believe that we are meant to live naked and unashamed as much of the time as possible based on that being God’s original plan24. I believe that it is Satan that convinced Adam and Eve to cover their nakedness as they hid in fear based on God’s question of “who told thee”25. I believe that living as much as possible naked and unashamed desexualizes the mind and society and brings honor and glory to the Creator in Whose image we were made26. I believe it is my duty to witness to the unsaved27. I believe it is my duty to treat others with the same love, kindness, compassion, forgiveness and grace that God treats me with28. I believe that due to my position as a son of God’s that I should live in such a way as brings honor to my Father29. I believe that the way the religious treated Jesus is the way they will treat me and therefore I should react as Jesus reacted when they do…not answering their accusations, asking the Father to forgive them and forgiving them myself30. I believe people should be able to discuss any topic without it turning into a fight or character assassination, we are allowed to have differing opinions and still get along…it’s called Freedom Under Grace31. I believe that Jesus’ ministry is my example and that I should spend more time with sinners in need of a Savior rather than seeking the approval of the religious32. I believe that it is the Holy Spirit’s job to convict of bad behavior not mine so I will simply continue to love God with all my heart, mind and soul and my neighbor as myself33. I believe that the sermon on the mount was not a list of rules and regulations to live by, but rather a lesson in our inability to live by a set of rules and displaying our need for a Savior who saves by Grace, therefore I will not have a set of rules for others to live by I will simply give grace to all those around me34. I believe that when a person accepts Jesus Christ as their Savior that the Holy Spirit moves into their body with them and that since they are now a new creature also, the changed life will manifest itself…they do not need a list of rules to govern their behavior…that the Holy Spirit will guide them as He does me35. I believe that one of the Holy Spirit’s jobs is to bring all things into remembrance when we need it so we should read and study God’s Word, so the Holy Spirit has something to bring into remembrance
